1963: On the final day of their Swedish tour, The Beatles recorded some songs for the Sverige Television program ‘Drop In’ in Stockholm. They sang and performed the songs: ‘She Loves You’, ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘I Saw Her Standing There’, and ‘Long Tall Sally.’

1967: Brian Jones, the guitarist of The Rolling Stones admitted in court to possession of cannabis and that he allowed his apartment to be used for the smoking the drug. His pleaded 'not guilty' to the charge of possessing methedrine and cocaine, and the court accepted his plea. Jones was sentenced to 9 months in Wormwood Scrubs prison, but was released on bail the following day.

1978: The single 'Hanging on the Telephone' by the band Blondie was released. It was released as the second single from their album 'Parallel Lines'. The song was written by Jack Lee from US West Coast power pop trio The Nerves. This single gave Blondie their first UK Top 10 hit.

1990: Axl Rose, singer of Guns N' Roses was released on $10,000 bail, after he was arrested for allegedly hitting a neighbor over the head with a bottle. This attack happened after a complaint to the police about very loud music that came from Rose's house.
