1965: Bringing It All Back Home by Bob Dylan topped the UK charts. It was Dylan's second UK No.1 album. The black and white pamphlet lying across the Time magazine with President Lyndon B. Johnson on the cover is a publication of the Earth Society, who saw its mission as protecting earth from collisions with comets and planets.

1965: The Beach Boys started a two week run at the top of the US singles chart with 'Help Me Rhonda', the band's second US No.1 hit. Murry, the Wilson brothers' father, interrupted the recording when he came to the studio to criticize the Boys enthusiasm while at the same time being drunk. The recording reel continued to record even this confrontation, and it is said that fans have this recording.

1969: Crosby, Stills & Nash released their self-titled debut album on Atlantic Records label. It produced two Top 40 hits, 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes' and 'Marrakesh Express'.
1971: The Rolling Stones started a two week run at the top of the US singles chart with 'Brown Sugar', taken from the album Sticky Fingers. It was The Stones' sixth US No.1, and a No.2 hit in the UK. The songs lyrics, which are essentially a pastiche of a number of taboo subjects, include cunnilingus, sadomasochism, interracial sex, slave rape, and less distinctly, heroin and lost virginity.

1977: Warsaw band from Manchester, that later became Joy Division, made their live debut as they supported The Buzzcocks at The Electric Circus, Manchester, England.
1983: New Edition, a US school band which included Bobby Brown, topped the UK singles chart with 'Candy Girl'. Songwriter and producer Maurice Starr discovered the band as they were performing at a local talent show. He later produced and wrote for the band New Kids On The Block.

1997: Singer and songwriter Jeff Buckley disappeared after he decided to take a swim in the Mississippi River. His body was found on June 4, 1997 after it was spotted by a passenger on a tourist riverboat.
2001: Eagles visited Russia for the very first time when they appeared at SC Olymisky in Moscow.
