1957: Paul Anka makes his US television debut. On this debut he sang the song "Diana" on ABC's American Bandstand.

1969: The Beatles recorded "The End" for album 'Abbey Road'. It was the last song recorded collectively by all four Beatles members, and is the final song of the medley that comprises the majority of side two of the album.

1970: Christine Perfect, who was already married to bass player John McVie, joins her husband's band, Fleetwood Mac, as its first female member.

1991: Paul Simon gives a free concert in Central Park, much as he had in 1981 with partner Art Garfunkel. This performance eventually produced the album Paul Simon's Concert In The Park.
