1963: Bob Dylan performed his first major solo concert at the Town Hall in New York City. During the show, he played 24 songs including, 'Highway 51', 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall', 'Blowin' In The Wind' and 'Last Thoughts On Woody Guthrie'.

1967: Mick Jagger got punched in the face by an airport official during a row at Le Bourget Airport in France. Mick Jagger lost his temper after the band members were being searched for drugs and because of that had missing their flight.

1969: The 5th Dimension started a six week run at the top of the US singles chart with 'Aquarius / Let The Sunshine In'. The song also reached the No.11 spot in the UK.

1989: Garth Brooks released his self-titled debut album. The album received great reviews and was also a chart success, reaching the No.13 spot on the Billboard 200 and the No.2 spot on the Top Country Albums. It contains Brooks' earliest hits, including his first ever single, 'Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)', his first No.1, 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' and the 1990 Academy of Country Music Song of the Year and Video of the Year, 'The Dance'.

1997: R. Kelly started a three-week run at the top of the UK singles chart with his song 'I Believe I Can Fly.' The song won a Grammy award and reached the No.2 spot in the US. It also featured in the film 'Space Jam'.
