Enjoy!
The Hollies are a British pop/rock group that was formed in 1962 in Manchester, England. They became one of the leading British bands of the 1960s and into the mid 1970s.
The Hollies enjoyed considerable popularity in many countries and had more than 30 singles on the UK Singles Chart, and 22 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
One of the band's most successful songs that reached the No.2 spot on the UK chart and the No.6 spot on the US chart is "The Air That I Breathe", that was written by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood shortly after the two moved to Los Angeles.
This beautiful song is about a guy whose every desire is fulfilled by the woman he loves. The guy lists in the song all the things that he can live without, as long as he has her love: sleep, light, sound, cigarettes and books.
The Hollies are one of the few British bands of the early 1960s (them and The Rolling Stones), that have never disbanded and still continue to record new material and perform.
In 2010, The Hollies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
