Enjoy!
Stevie Wonder (real name: Stevland Hardaway Morris Judkins) is an American singer, record producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Wonder is considered to be one of the most critically and commercially successful musicians of the late 20th century.
Stevie Wonder (being a multi-instrumentalist) plays most of the instruments on albums. He is skilled on the bass, keyboard, harmonica and drums. Wonder mastered all four instruments before reaching his teenage years.
In 1969, Motown gave Wonder complete control of his recordings. That meant he was one of the first artists that wrote, produced, arranged and performed his own songs.
In his early years, Wonder wanted other people in the studio with him when he recorded his vocals so he could feel their presence, which made him more comfortable. There were even times when workers and people hanging around the studio, were summoned to join Stevie Wonder while he tracked his vocals.
Stevie Wonder has recorded over 30 U.S. top 10 hits and won no less than 25 Grammy Awards. He has sold more than 100 million records all over the world, which makes him one of the top 60 best-selling music artists. He is also ranked on the 6th spot on Billboard magazine's list of Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, that was done in 2013.
