Sia relocated to New York City in 2005, and began touring across the country, releasing two albums: Some People Have Real Problems (2008) and We Are Born (2010).
However, by the release of her album We Are Born in 2010, Sia was a real mess. She was addicted to painkillers and alcohol and suffered from panic attacks from the incessant cycle of having to promote her music.
At one point, Sia even contemplated suicide, but was stopped by a friend. She then began a 12-step program and decided to focus on writing songs for other artists.
