Enjoy!
Megadeth is an American heavy metal band that was fromed in 1983, in Los Angeles, California.
Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson (basist of the band), formed the band in 1983, shortly after Mustaine was fired from Metallica.
Megadeth is a pioneer of the American thrash metal scene. They are credited as one of the genre's "big four," along with Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica, and is responsible for thrash metal's development and popularization.
They play in a technical style, which means complex arrangements and fast rhythm sections. Themes of war, death, religion and politics and are prominent in the lyrics of the band's songs.
The beginning of the band is interesting, as Mustaine found a political pamphlet from California senator Alan Cranston that said: "The arsenal of megadeath can't be rid."
He then thought that "Megadeth" would make a great song title. That song turned into "Set The World Afire" from the band's 1988 album So Far, So Good...So What! Megadeth on the other hand, became the band's name.
Megadeth has sold more than 38 million records all over the world, earned platinum certification in the US for five of the band's fifteen studio albums, and also received twelve Grammy nominations. They won their first Grammy Award in 2017 for the song "Dystopia" in the Best Metal Performance category.
