Ludacris (real name: Christopher Brian Bridges) is an American rapper and actor.
He wrote his first rap song when he was 9 years old and joined an amateur rap group 3 years later. Before taking up rapping as a career, Ludacris used to work as an intern (and eventually DJ) for Hot 97.5 in Atlanta.
Ludacris got his breakthrough in the year 2000 with his major label debut album, Back For The First Time. The album went on to be certified 3X platinum by the RIAA, selling more than 3.1 million copies.
Ludacris is also the founder of Disturbing tha Peace and was one of the first and most influential "Dirty South" rappers that achieved mainstream success during the early 2000s.
Ludacris has won various awards, among them are the Screen Actors Guild, Critic's Choice, MTV Award, and 3 Grammy Awards.
