Enjoy!
Journey is an American rock band that was formed 1973 in San Francisco. They are composed of former members of the bands Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch.
Journey have gone through several changes, when the strongest commercial success of the band occurred between the years 1978-1987. During this time, Journey scored a series of hit songs, including the song "Don't Stop Believin'" from 1981, which in 2009 became the top-selling track in iTunes history.
The song "Don't Stop Believin'" has a very unique structure, which helps it stick in your mind. Where most of the songs have a chorus that is repeated several times, "Don't Stop Believin'" brings in its chorus and title only at the end of the song, about 3:20 into the song.
The structure of the song goes like this: Instrumental, second verse, first pre-chorus, instrumental, third verse, second pre-chorus, instrumental and then finally the chorus of the song until fade-out.
Journey has sold 48 million albums in the U.S., which makes them the 25th best-selling band. Also, they have sold more than 75 million records all over the world, which makes them one of the best-selling bands of all time.
In 2017, Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
