Enjoy!
Joan Jett (real name: Joan Marie Larkin) is an American musician, rock singer, songwriter, composer and record producer.
Many of her commercial successes came from covers of songs that were originally recorded with male voices. Among the songs Jett covered are: "I Love Rock And Roll" by The Arrows, "Crimson And Clover" by Tommy James and The Shondells, "Do You Wanna Touch Me" by Gary Glitter and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC.
Joan Jett produced many of her own recordings and has done production work for others. Her credits include The Peaches song "I Don't Give A..." as well as The Bikini Kill song "Revel Girl."
However, the songs that Joat Jett most identifies with are the ones she wrote herself, especially the song "Bad Reputation."
Joan Jett is also known for her work as the lead singer of her band, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and for earlier founding and performing with the Runaways, which recorded and released the hit song "Cherry Bomb".
Jett has scored three albums that have been certified Platinum or Gold, and apart from being a musician, has also been a feminist icon throughout her career. She has been described as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll and the Godmother of Punk, and in 2015, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
