Die Antwoord is a South African hip hop group that was formed in 2008 in Cape Town, and is composed of rappers Yolandi Visser and Ninja, and producer god (formerly DJ Hi-Tek).
Here are a few interesting facts about Die Antwoord:
1. In 2010, movie director David Fincher got in touch with rapper Yolandi and offered her to play the lead role in the moive "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", but Yolandi declined.
2. Band members Yolandi and Ninja have a child together, called Sixteen, however, both stated that they do not have a romantic relationship, despite sharing a child.
3. Band member Ninja describes the band's look as "kind of apocalyptic debris", putting all kinds of things together that they think are cool.
They have a unique style that is shown and heard in their music and videos, combining Yolandi's high-pitched rhymes and Ninja's swagger, both spoken with their characteristic accents.
In 2009, the group released $O$, their debut album for free online and also attracted international attention for their music video "Enter the Ninja". Since then, the group has released 3 more albums, with their fourth album released in 2016.
