David Guetta (real name: Pierre David Guetta) is a French DJ, songwriter and record producer.
David Guetta, often referred to as the man who brought dance music to American mainstream radio, started pursuing his career when he was just a teenager, playing records in his bedroom after school.
When David Guetta was 15 years old, he started organizing parties in his basement, charging £1 to get in. Guetta got his big break when Kelly Rowland saw him DJ in Cannes, France.
The two got together and recorded the song "When Love Takes Over" and from there on, Guetta's career took off, as Kelly Rowland helped spread the word as well.
In 2011, David Guetta was voted as the number one DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, and in 2013, Billboard crowned his collaboration with Rowland and their song "When Love Takes Over" as the number one dance-pop collaboration of all time.
During his on-going music career, David Guetta has sold more than 9 million albums and 30 million singles all over the world.
