The song "Leave a Light On" by Belinda Carlisle is about a woman who is leaving her man because she needs time to find herself. Carlisle asks the man in the song to "leave a light on" for her, meaning to wait for her to return, but that's a lot to ask.
George Harrison from The Beatles provided the slide guitar solo on the song. During the 1980s and 1990s, Harrison did not work with many other musicians and people, but he agreed to work with Carlisle because he loved her voice.
