Enjoy!

Bananarama are an English female pop music vocal duo, consisting of members Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward. Past lineup also consisted of band members Siobhan Fahey and Jacquie O'Sullivan. The band was originally formed as a trio in 1981 in London.

The name Bananarama was chosen for the band because the girls wanted a silly name that expressed enjoyment and light heartedness. The first single of the band was sung in Swahili, so they thought of something tropical, like bananas, and added 'rama' because it sounded silly. They got the idea for 'rama' from the song "pyjamarama" by Roxy Music.

Bananarama holds the Guinness World Records as the all-female group with the most chart entries in the world. Between the years 1982-2009, the band had 28 singles that reached the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart. They also scored 10 UK Top 10 hits with songs like: "Cruel Summer," "Venus," "Robert De Niro's Waiting..." and more. In total, between the years 1983-1988, Bananarama had 11 singles reaching the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
