1. Even though The Beatles broke up over 40 years ago, they still sell more records each year than the Rolling Stones who still perform to this day.

2. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain all died at the age of 27 and they were not the only great musicians to die at this age.

3. When Nash, Crosby and Stills started out, they were first known as "The Frozen Noses", a reference to their drug habits.

4. The great guitarist Eddie Van Halen played in Michael Jackson's hit "Beat It."

5. When a record company executive first met Pink Floyd's band members, he asked them "Which one's Pink?"

6. Jimi Hendrix was thrown out of high school just for holding hands with a white girl in class.

7. The progressive rock band, Uriah Heep actually took their name from a character in Charles Dickens' novel titled "David Copperfield."

8. Jethro Tull is the name of the band and not of the rock singer which is responsible for songs like "Thick as a Brick" and "Aqalung." The original Jethro Tull was an English horticulturalist who invented the seed drill. The singer's name is Ian Anderson.

9. David Bowie proposed to Angie, his first wife by saying "Can you handle the fact that I don't love you?"

10. John Denver was killed when his plane crashed and that happened because it simply ran out of fuel.

11. The band "Lynyrd Skynyrd" took their name from their Physical Education teacher, Leonard Skinner. He used to give the band members some hard time in school because of their long hair.

12. An album titled "The Wit and Wisdom of Ronald Reagan" that was released by Stiff Records contains 40 minutes of silence.

13. Believe it or not, but in the year 1978 Sweden's most profitable export was the band ABBA with car maker Volvo only came second.
