76. David Bowie has a tattoo of a lizard on his ankle.

 

77. Terry Chimes, the original drummer of The Clash was cured of serious arm pain back in 1985 by the personal chiropractor of Black Sabbath. After Chimes toured with Black Sabbath in 1987-1988, he decided to set up Chimes Chiropractic and has more than 30,000 patients on file. If you wonder, they also do acupuncture.

 

78. During their heyday in the UK, Led Zeppelin didn't release singles and the b-side to the US release of Immigrant Song (Hey Hey What Can I Do?) was the only non-album release by the band.

 

79. Louis Armstrong was the oldest artist to top the UK singles charts. It was in 1968 when he was 66 years and 10 months old with the song What a Wonderful World.

 

80. So-called "gut strings" for acoustic Spanish guitars were originally made from the small intestines of slaughtered sheep. During WWII, the production material changed to nylon, when all available gut was used during the production of surgical thread for soldiers who were wounded in the war.

 

81. In their early years, Pink Floyd performed under various monikers including Sigma 6, Tea Set, Leonard's Lodgers and The Screaming Abdabs.

 

82. The longest held recorded instance of the word "c*nt" appears in Oceansize's Sleeping Dogs And Dead Lions and no, they are not a death metal band.

 

83. The estate of Johnny Cash was approached by an advertising company asking for permission to use Ring Of Fire on an ad for hemorrhoid cream. This request was refused.

 

84. The orchestra of Monaco is actually bigger than its army.

 

85. Paul McCartney used many pseudonyms during his music career and some of them include: A Smith, Country Hams, The Fireman, Apollo C Vermouth, Paul Ramone, Percy "Thrills" Thrillington and Bernard Webb.

 

86. Prog rockers Emerson Lake And Palmer knew exactly what it means to tour. In 1977, they had 63 roadies which also included a karate instructor for drummer Carl Palmer and the doctor of the band. There is a rumor they also had a "carpet roadie" and his job was to transport and sweep the Persian rug that Greg Lake stood on during the shows.

 

87. In his debut album (For You), Prince played 27 different instruments.

 

88. Believe it or not, but Axl Rose of Guns n' Roses used to earn $8 an hour for smoking cigarettes. This was for a science experiment at California's UCLA. You think he did it for the money or he was very much interested learning about the experiment's conclusions?

90. Martial arts actor Steven Segal once claimed to have played guitar with legend John Lennon. It appeared in an official PR biography, but unfortunately there are no more details about when it happened, how and why.

 

91. A concert promoter in Hawaii once sold a thousand tickets to a Spice Girls concert. Okay, so what's so interesting in this fact? The concert in appears never existed, yet the tickets were sold. When this promoter was arrested, he told the police that he needed the money for a nose job and sex change. Think he wanted to look like one of the Spice Girls at the end?

 

92. Singer Bryan Adams once photographed Queen Elizabeth II for a Canadian stamp.

 

93. Ringo Starr appeared in 1996 in a Japanese advertisement for apple sauce. What's the connection here? Well, "Ringo" means apple sauce in Japanese, so there you have it.

 

94. When James Lilja, early drummer of The Offspring left the band, he retained as a gynecologist. That's a hell of a career change…

 

95. The Beastie Boys is an acronym for Boys Entering Anarchistic Stages Towards Internal Excellence, at least according to Mike D.

 

96. Pete Townshend smashed over 90 different guitars during his music career with The Who. This includes at least 23 Fender Stratocasters, 21 Gibson SGs and 12 Gibson Les Pauls. Those days you just knew that when you go to The Who concert, boring it will not be.

 

97. Angelo Petraglia, regular co-writer of Kings Of Leon has also written some songs for country stars Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride and Tim McGraw.

 

98. Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes plans to release his very own line of men's suits. He also plans to co-design these suits along with stylist Ilaria Urbinati.

 

99. Musician and rocker Alice Cooper has a golf handicap on only three and that is pretty good.

 

100. Hip Hop producer Dr. Dre (born Andre Young), was a diver in his school swimming team. Guess he knows to do other cool stuff than just beats.

 

101. Alison Goldfrapp sang vocals for children's TV show Old Bear Stories. The show ran from 1993-1997 in the UK.
